It's been an emotional day for family, who have been searching for Bethany Arceneaux. They're relieved Arceneaux was found, and even more so that she's in stable condition and her injuries are not life-threatening.
It had been just hours prior that family and friends had met up in Opelousas, forming search group to find Arceneaux. Dozens of bright yellow posters of Arceneaux were being handed out, and even a representative from Mickey Shunick's family was there lending moral support and giving tips on how to move forward.
The family was pleading to the public for help, just minutes before they found out Arceneaux was found.
"I believe in my heart that she's still alive, and we're going to bring her home today," Arceneaux's aunt Monica Arceneaux Henry said, just before they found out Arceneaux was alive.
All afternoon family and friends had been waiting to see Arceneaux a Lafayette General Medical Center. Family said they didn't know the extent of her injuries, but they knew she had an IV in her because they said she hadn't eaten in days. The good news, they said, was that she was breathing and able to speak, and it's positive news, after days of fearing for her safety.
