Fall Movies in the Parc series kicks off October 12th

Downtown Lafayette's Movies in the Parc series will challenge movie-goers and aspiring archeologists to outrun an inflatable, more-friendly boulder inside Parc International. Pack your own blankets and chairs or ride your bike for a one-of-a-kind movie experience that you can only find downtown. The Fall Movies in the Parc series kicks off October 12th with Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark showing at Parc International, located at 200 Garfield Street. Gates open at 6pm and the movie starts at dusk.

The Fall series of Movies in the Parc continues at Parc International with "Finding Nemo" on October 19th and wraps up with the Downtown Drive-In, October 26th featuring the 1968 version of "Night of the Living Dead".

Admission is still just $2 and free for children 5 and under. Food and beverages will be available on-site for purchase! Parking is available at Parc-Auto du Centreville at Polk and Vermilion Streets and remember metered spots are free on Saturdays Downtown!

2013 Fall Series:

October 12 - Raiders of the Lost Ark
Parc International, 200 Garfield Street
The year is 1936. A professor who studies archeology named Indiana Jones is venturing in the jungles in South America searching for a golden statue. Unfortunately, he sets off a deadly trap doing so, miraculously, he escapes. Then, Jones hears from a museum curator named Marcus Brody about a biblical artifact called The Ark of the Covenant, which can hold the key to humanly existence. Jones has to venture to vast places such as Nepal and Egypt to find this artifact. However, he will have to fight his enemy Renee Belloq and a band of Nazis in order to reach it.

October 19 - Finding Nemo
Parc International, 200 Garfield Street
A tale which follows the comedic and eventful journeys of two fish, the fretful Marlin and his young son Nemo, who are separated from each other in the Great Barrier Reef when Nemo is unexpectedly taken from his home and thrust into a fish tank in a dentist's office overlooking Sydney Harbor. Buoyed by the companionship of a friendly but forgetful fish named Dory, the overly cautious Marlin embarks on a dangerous trek and finds himself the unlikely hero of an epic journey to rescue his son. Meanwhile, the young Nemo hatches a few daring plans of his own to return home safely.

October 26 - Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Downtown Drive-In, Parking Lot, 725 Jefferson Street
Get your Zombie on! The same day as the Lafayette Science Museum's Zombie Walk, stay in character and join us for the Downtown Drive-In featuring Night of the Living Dead! The radiation from a fallen satellite might have caused the recently deceased to rise from the grave and seek the living to use as food. This is the situation that a group of people penned up in an old farmhouse must deal with.
