No big problems are expected this weekend for Festival International de Louisiane. Partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures are expected to continue through Sunday. Fog could be an issue for traveling during the morning but visibility will improve as early day festival events kick off this weekend.
The only slight chances for rain will be overnight Thursday, starting after the shows are over, and early Friday morning before events start. Another chance for rain will come late in the weekend, with a slight chance for showers late Sunday afternoon into the evening. Rain chances for the area won't exceed 20% for both of these time periods.
Temperatures for the next few days should range between 80-85 for afternoon highs, 70-75 for the evening shows, and morning temperatures in the mid 60s. Winds will be light, generally from the south between 10-15mph, lighter during the evening.
Even though more clouds will move in for Saturday and Sunday, it's wise to wear sunscreen if you're planning to be outside for several hours. Same goes for the kids who will be playing in the fountain. Humidity levels will be tolerable, but make sure you drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
