Edwards, Leyoub awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards

Former Louisiana Governor Mr. Edwin Edwards and Former State of Louisiana Attorney General Mr. Richard Ieyoub awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards at the All Black Affair Business Gala 2014.

Mr. Edwards and Mr. Ieyoub have both exemplified great work for the great State of Louisiana.

The event was held Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Old Governors Mansion in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Accompanying Mr. Edwards was his lovely wife Trina Edwards, longtime friends and family members. Accompanying Mr. Ieyoub were his close family members along with friends celebrating his achievements. Both Mr. Edwards and Mr. Ieyoub spoke to business owners, future entrepreneurs and distinguished guests about their works in the State of Louisiana. Mr. Edwards hold the Number one position for first timer to acquire one million votes in a Statewide election and Mr. Ieyoub holds the Number two spot as the second person acquiring one million votes in a Statewide election.

The evening was filled with great speakers: Mrs. Donna Britt of WAFB 9 News and Salvation Army Board of Advisory member, Ms. Kelly Schulz, VP of Communications and PR at the New Orleans Conventions and Visitors Bureau as Highlight Speaker, Mr. William Campbell, Jr. Executive Director of Louisiana Small Business Development Center and the keynote speaker was Mr. John Mathews of Louisiana Economic Development. Businesses operating in the State of Louisiana were also awarded top honors.
LEAD Award recipients were: Cliff Boulden, BET R Grocery Store, Agnes Andrews, Allstate Insurance Agency, Norman Sparrow, The Table is Bread, Raising Canes Chicken Fingers, Darlene Reese, Ambassador Mortgage, Joan Louis, Mo Hair Salon, Rena Gray, My Little Angel Foundation and Mr. Michael Clayton, Generation Next Foundation & Clayton M 5 LLC. All of these businesses are Leading with Efficiency, Awareness and Dedication to running a successful business in the State of Louisiana. The lovely evening celebrating Mr. Edwards and Mr. Ieyoub's work ended with a special tribute in song by Mr. Ernest Jackson, a legendary blues singer, in the Rose Garden at the Old Governor's Mansion.
