A chance to dry out today after yesterday's heavy rain. Most areas picked up about 1-3 inches of rain, while some locations saw over seven inches. Areas of street flooding were common, and the Vermilion River is now above flood stage again.
Temperatures across Acadiana aren't as warm. Most of the region is in the 60s and 70s this morning. A stationary front is in place, and some of the slightly cooler air managed to move into the northern sections. That front will fizzle out later today, but more sunshine is expected as the upper level low moves away. Only a slight chance for a shower today and tomorrow before another disturbance moves in Friday with a better chance for rain.
By the weekend, we should get back to partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 90s.
