The Department of Transportation and Development will hold an open house in Broussard tomorrow night to discuss the next phase of I-49 construction in Lafayette Parish.
DOTD officials will be on hand at Keith's Ballroom from 5 p. m. until 7 p. m. Tuesday to discuss planned construction on US 90 between Ambassador Caffery and Albertson's Parkways and the impact that work will have on traffic in the area.
Officials say the planned work includes widening that stretch of highway to six lanes. The project may also include the construction of frontage roads and overpasses in the area.
Construction on this phase is scheduled to begin in the middle of next year and is expected to last three years.
