The Breaux Bridge police officer involved in a fatal shooting last December has been recommended for discipline by the Breaux Bridge Police Department.
According to Breaux Bridge city attorney Chester Cedars, the council will consider the recommendation against Travis Guillot in an executive session during its October 8 meeting. Cedars declined to elaborate on what the recommendation is or why it was brought to the council due to personnel laws. Cedars stated, however, that the recommendation is in no way connected to the death of December 2012 death of Daraneisha Harris.
Guillot was cleared by a grand jury in July of any wrongdoing in the Harris case.
