Dine For Diner Scheduled for Thursday to benefit St. Joseph's Diner

Lafayette Catholic Service Centers and Renaissance Market and Brasserie will kick off the 2nd annual Dine for the Diner on May 8, 2014. In effort to end hunger, participating restaurants will donate 10% of their sales that day to St. Joseph Diner. Dine for Diner also has an accompanying Food Truck Rally that will be located in the parking lot of Stine Lumber located on Ambassador Caffery.

St. Joseph Diner is one of 9 programs of Lafayette Catholic Service Centers that provides essential services to the poor and homeless in Acadiana. The Diner has been known for preparing and serving free lunch meals each day since 1983. In 2013 over 100,000 meals were served to the needy in the community, and the Diner began serving breakfast to people living on the streets. St. Joseph Diner also provides bread and commodity bags to low income seniors each month and special baskets during the holidays.
