NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A new program involving the University of New Orleans and Delgado Community College will provide Delgado students with an easier route into UNO.
The Advocate reports the program, called Privateer Bound, targets Delgado students who have applied to UNO but weren't admitted because they required a remedial course.
Students who enroll in the program will be allowed to take Delgado classes on the UNO campus and have access to the library, recreation and fitness center, student email, wireless Internet and other perks of the UNO experience.
There are 72 Delgado students enrolled in the program, which began during the fall semester.
