Deep tropical moisture continues to spin offshore bringing a lot of rain to parts of the southeast. Although the system is relatively organized, there is no real center of circulation and pressures have been rather high.
Still, even with tropical development not looking likely it is going to bring a good bit of rainfall to Acadiana. The tropical moisture will continue to surge in through out the day on Sunday, before starting to dry up.
The heaviest rainfall will be southern Acadiana, where some gusty winds will also be possible. With this system spinning off the coast anyone hoping to take a boat out will have some rough seas to deal with, with some offshore observations registering seas at 4-5 ft.
Dry air will move in at the start of the work week, however, as a massive ridge builds on top of the region leading to mostly sunny skies for the majority of the week.
