CPSO arrests Starks man for alleged aggravated rape of child

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office(CPSO) on Monday arrested a Starks man for the alleged aggravated rape of a 12-year-old girl, deputies said.

The arrest is part of an investigation led by Det. Cory Myers that began on Feb. 16, when detectives advised that they received a complaint regarding Skyler J. Monceaux, 19, of 697 Old River Road in Starks, "having inappropriate sexual contact with a 12-year-old girl."

Detectives said that the girl is a family acquaintance. When Monceaux was questioned by detectives, a CPSO release said, Monceaux confirmed the allegations.

According to the release, Monceaux was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on a charge of aggravated rape.

Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $250,000.
