Cool and Calm Into the Weekend

Mardi Gras has come and gone and with it left some of the wet weather, at least for the time being. The showers pushed off the coast on Wednesday and some cooler drier air is looking to take its place.

Temperatures will take a significant hit closer the end of the week with lows getting down into the low 40s and possibly upper 30s. The cooler evenings will be aided by the clear skies as cloud cover will continue to thin out.

This is the scenerio we can expect for the weekend as high pressure takes control of the area, meaning we have a nice couple of days coming up. There will be a slow warm up over the next couple of days so the cool down won't stick around and we will be more or less seasonable all the way into next week.

Monday, however, will bring in a change as rain chances return to Acadiana ahead of a cold front that is moving through. Until then though the forecast will stay quiet, so I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy it.
