The brief period of spring like temperatures Tuesday is a thing of the past and colder weather has returned for the week. Temperatures have been dropping into the 30s and 40s across Acadiana and skies have cleared.
We'll see partly cloudy skies today. Sunshine will help to bring the temperatures back into the low to mid 50s. Breezes will keep the wind chill in the 40s most of the day. Another cold night tonight as temperatures will drop to the freezing point under partly cloudy skies. More clouds will move in Thursday, and the northerly flow will keep it cold.
Expect temperatures in the 40s for Thursday and some rain is possible late Thursday into Friday. Temperatures will recover over the weekend with highs near 60. Normal highs and lows for early February are low 60s and low 40s. By the end of the month, average highs approach 70.
