Acadiana saw one of the hotter weekends we've had so far this season, and Monday promises to be no different.
Temperatures will be racing back into the mid 90s Monday afternoon and with plenty of humidity the heat index will be back into the 102-107 range.
Showers on Monday will be more numerous then the last few days as a cold front is expected to move through later in the day.
The first wave of showers and thunderstorms will push through in the evening and will likely continue into the morning on Tuesday.
Behind the front will be some cooler and drier air to help us out with the summer heat.
Unfortunately this comfortable air doesn't look as intrusive as it once did so the break from heat and humidity will be a short one.
Down the line will be more disturbed weather we could run into by the end of the work week.
