Clerk of Court offers classes for voters to become election commissioners

Lafayette Parish voters interested in becoming election commissioners may attend classes during the next two weeks, Clerk of Court Louis Perret announced Wednesday.

Perret said that the course is designed for registered voters in Lafayette Parish who have never served as election commissioners. The job of election commissioner pays $200 for those who attend the classes.

Classes will be held on the 2nd floor of the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court Office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the week of July 21. Classes will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday during the week of July 28.
