Centenary College is giving its first-year students, entering in fall 2014, the chance to study in Paris.
The initiative, unveiled Thursday, is called Centenary in Paris and is part of the college's new August immersive segment in which students will get to spend up to 10 days in France.
By sending the entire freshman class overseas, Centenary believes their program is the first of its kind in the nation.
French professor Dana Kress, chair of the college's Foreign Language Department and honorary consul of France for North Louisiana, says the program is a way to introduce students to Centenary and its rich history in Louisiana.
