It's now been more than three weeks, but still no sign of Brittany Beals. The 22-year-old was last seen in the Sunset area getting into a car with two men, but no word from her since.
"It's just not normal for her not to contact anybody. It's just not normal for her," Brittany's mother Tina Cormier said.
Deputies say, Brittany was last seen getting into a newer model black truck with two black men. Brittany's mother says a friend was with her that night.
"One of the gentlemen told her friend that she was going to do what they said and they wanted to have sex with her. She told me that Brittany begged her to please do what they say. The little girl got afraid and jumped out of the truck," Cormier said.
Family and friends have now hit the streets posting signs around Acadiana hoping someone will speak up.
"We've even foot searched Lake Charles, Orange, Texas, almost into Houston because there was Texas plates," Cormier said.
Now they are out of leads on where Beals could be. All they can do now is hope, search and wait.
"Somebody out there knows where she's at. She didn't just vanish. I just want her home. She has two children. A 6-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy who need her," Cormier said.
St. Landry Parish Deputies are investigating this as a missing persons case, but so far no major leads. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Brittany Beals, call Crimestoppers at 948-TIPS.
