BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The man suspected of shooting two people inside a Baton Rouge hospital has surrendered to authorities.
Police say 36-year-old Darrell Garner turned himself in to authorities at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison early Monday morning.
Garner is accused of shooting his estranged wife, 35-year-old Kwonesha Garner, and her 49-year-old boyfriend at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City on Sept. 3.
Garner was shot in the arm, while her boyfriend was shot in the head and arm.
Kwonesha Garner and her boyfriend were at the hospital visiting Garner's son.
Investigators say Darrell Garner will be booked on two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
