Book/Magazine sale scam seen on UL's campus

UL Lafayette officials are issuing a warning for a scam that has targeted some of their students.

Officials say there are people asking students on campus to buy books and magazines to help underprivileged kids go to college.

The university warns this group is not affiliated with UL and is scamming students out of cash. At least one student has lost $80 to them.

This group has been the focus of more than 300 complaints in the past 3 years by the BBB.
