FARMERVILLE, La. (AP) - A badly decomposed body has been found in a heavily wooded area of Union Parish.
Sheriff Bob Buckley said Monday that the body was found about two miles northeast of Farmerville by a man and his children who were riding four-wheelers Sunday night.
The News-Star reports that that body has been sent to Little Rock, Ark., for an autopsy after which it will be sent to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge for a facial reconstruction. Buckley says not even the race or sex of the body could be determined.
Buckley says there are currently no missing person reports in Union Parish so it is believed that the body could possibly be that of someone from another area.
The case remains under investigation.
