Body found after Wardville house fire extinguished

WARDVILLE, La. (AP) - The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office is treating a body found inside a burned home in Wardville as a homicide.
The Town Talk reports an investigation is continuing into the fire which was reported at 12:04 p.m. Monday.
Firefighters from the Pineville, Rapides and Holiday Village fire departments responded to the fire.
When the blaze was extinguished, a body was found inside.
Sheriff's deputies say the victim has not been identified.
