Just in time for Christmas, Beauregard Parish employees will get a little extra in their paychecks.
The police jury voted Tuesday to increase its workers' wages by 3 percent across the board.
Police Juror Brad Harris tells the American Press the pay raise will take effect immediately.
Juror Teddy Welsh said it has been two to three years since parish workers received a cost-of-living adjustment in their pay.
