THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - The Lafourche Office of Community Action is seeking residents to serve on its advisory board.
The Courier reports there are five seats to be filled by those who can provide input into the office's mission. The office administers programs to low-income residents of the parish.
The seats are available by application or nomination. The deadline for nominations is 4 p.m. Monday.
The election for representatives in Thibodaux and the north Lafourche area will take place on March 21 at the Thibodaux Civic Center. Election for representatives in south Lafourche will be held April 18 at the South Lafourche Branch of the Lafourche Parish Public Library. In central Lafourche, the election is held at the Raceland Agricultural Center May 16.
