A family is safe after a fire destroyed their home in Breaux Bridge Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters responded to 630 Tina Street at approximately 2 P. M. Officials say most of the fire had been put out by the home's occupants by the time they arrived. No one was injured in the blaze, but the house is a total loss.
According to investigators, the fire began in the living area of the home. No foul play is suspected. The blaze remains under investigation.
The family is asking for donations for their two children (both boys), ages 6 and 2. Here is the information if you would like to help them:
Clothes sizes: 2yr old - 2T-3T in clothes and a size 7 in shoes. Size 5 in diapers. They need pacifiers and sippy cups.
6yr old- 6 (uniforms- red/white shirts, blue pants)
School supplies as well. Size 13 in shoes, medium in shirts, underwear - size 6.
A few toys would be helpful along with personal hygiene products.
