4 arrested after child brings drugs to Head Start

BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) - Police in Bossier City say a 3-year-old showed up at the Head Start center he regularly attends with marijuana and a prescription anti-anxiety drug.

An investigation led to the arrest of the boy's mother and three other people.

Police were called to the Head Start Center Thursday morning after the boy pulled a plastic bag containing marijuana form his pocket and showed it to a teacher.

The child also had Xanax in a plastic bag.

Police say an investigation determined the boy got the narcotics at home. The child's mother was booked on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Xanax with intent to distribute and other charges.
