BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Gov. Bobby Jindal has appointed three new members to the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.
The governor made the announcement on Tuesday.
The three new appointees are former state Sen. Louis Lambert, of Prairieville; oil and gas businessman David Guidry, of New Orleans; and fishing and offshore housing manufacturer Jimmie "Beau" Martin Jr., of Cut Off.
The UL System now has two minority board members, including Guidry, on the 16-person board.
Jindal had removed Lambert, an LSU graduate and lawyer, from the LSU Board of Supervisors two years ago.
Guidry and Martin are filling vacant seats, and Lambert is the new at-large board member.
